Official | PSG goalkeeper Rémy Descamps joins Clermont on loan

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Rémy Descamps has today signed a contract extension at the Parc des Princes until 2021 and has also sealed a loan move to Ligue 2 side Clermont Foot.

The 22-year-old moves to the Clermont-Ferrand-based side for the full season, on a deal which does not include an option to purchase Descamps from the Ligue 1 champions.

Descamps spent the second half of last season on loan at fellow second tier French side Tours, where he made 19 appearances, and the 6 ft. 5 in prospect will be seeking further consistent playing time to enhance his burgeoning development and chances of making an eventual breakthrough for the Parisians.

The loan move comes as no surprise to many, considering Thomas Tuchel’s side boast four other goalkeepers in their squad; including Gianluigi Buffon, Kevin Trapp, Alphonse Areola and Sébastien Cibois.
