AS Monaco on the verge of Benjamin Lecomte signing

L’Équipe report that AS Monaco are very close to concluding the signing of 28-year-old French international goalkeeper Benjamin Lecomte from Montpellier.

After having an initial bid rejected by MHSC, AS Monaco have followed up with a new proposal between €12m and €15m. This offer is set to be accepted by the Montpellier representatives.

Lecomte has already agreed provisional terms over a 5-year contract with the Principality side. Barring an exceptional u-turn, he will not be travelling to the United States with Montpellier for their pre-season tour on Monday.
