UEFA set initial date of 8th August for 2nd leg of Round of 16 clash between Lyon & Juventus

RMC Sport report that European football’s governing body UEFA have begun compiling a provisional calendar for the completion of the 2019/20 Champions’ League campaign.

The outlet reports that UEFA intend to schedule the 2nd leg clash between Juventus and Lyon of their Round of 16 encounter for 8th August. OL will head into that match with a 1-0 lead which they secured during the home leg.

UEFA met today over videoconference with the relevant club presidents to reaffirm their desire to complete this season’s edition of the Champions’ League.

PSG’s quarter-final would then occur on either the 10th, 11th or 12th of August, per RMC.

For the moment, it is too soon to be discussing how exactly UEFA intend for the tournament to be completed after all Round of 16 matches are through, as in will there be two legs or just one per quarter-final cash etc.
