Aaron Ramsey yet to return to Nice after World Cup

As his team prepares to host Lens for their return to Ligue 1 action, Nice manager Lucien Favre notably commented in his press conference on the questions regarding Aaron Ramsey’s delayed return following the World Cup.

His words reported in L’Équipe, the Swiss coach indicated that the Welshman was “very disappointed” with the World Cup and was taking his time to “truly recover“. The manager added that he had not yet spoken with the midfielder, but that the tournament in Qatar had been “difficult to digest” for him.

Wales finished bottom of their group at their first World Cup finals since 1958, starting with a draw against the USA before consecutive losses to Iran and then England.

The former Arsenal man has made 12 appearances this season, having left Juventus after a three-year spell that culminated in a loan move to Rangers last season. He had scored the equaliser against Toulouse back in August, just days after joining.
