Manchester United legend Andy Cole believes Barcelona will sell Philippe Coutinho this summer if they receive the “right offer” from interested parties.
Coutinho has not yet truly settled at the Camp Nou since joining 12 months ago, with manager Ernesto Valverde claimed to have ‘given up’ on the Brazilian.
Speculation was rife in January that Coutinho could swap Barcelona for the Red Devils and rumours have persisted with Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain also credited with interest in the playmaker.
Cole believes that Coutinho will be sold by the La Liga giants as long as they get the right price for a player they spent £142million for just over a year ago.
“To spend that kind of money on an individual you would expect him to play week-in, week-out but it seems Barcelona would be willing to let him go if they get the right offer for him,” Cole told BeIN Sports.
“They have got a talented kid there in [Ousmane] Dembele though.
“If he can stick to turning up on time instead of sleeping in! He’s special, but seems he can’t get out of bed in the morning.”
