Official | Lyon seal €4.5m Marçal deal

Lyon have completed the signing of Benfica full back Fernando Marcal, with the fee reported to be €4.5m in an official statement from the Ligue 1 side.

The 28-year-old had been on loan at fellow Ligue 1 club Guingamp this past season and they also tried to sign him permanently, but to no avail.

The Brazilian played 31 times in Ligue 1 this season and will add some experience to the Lyon backline, who are keen to bolster their defence ahead of the new season after freeing up the wages due to the sale of other players.
