Arsène Wenger did reject the Lyon job

Our reliable colleague Mohamed Toubache-TER reports this evening that former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger did in fact reject a proposal from Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas to become the club’s next manager.

JMA is understood to have given a shot to bringing the Frenchman in to replace Bruno Génésio, but Wenger politely declined, leading Lyon to hire the Brazilian double-act of Juninho and Sylvinho.
