Angers’ sell-on percentage clause in Nicolas Pépé deal explained

Angers SCO will receive a small portion of Nicolas Pépé’s €80m transfer from Lille to Arsenal owing to the 10% sell-on percentage fee clause that they have for the Ivorian.

L’Équipe report that it will be paid over five seasons, but that Angers will only receive 10% of the profit that LOSC have made on the player, not 10% of the raw fee.

That equates to €7m and will be paid in 12 monthly instalments in line with the player’s 5-year contract with Arsenal, thus €1.4m a year.
