Here’s why Sean Maguire is being linked with an Ireland call-up

CORK CITY’S SEAN MAGUIRE was named SSE Airtricity/SWAI Player of the month for March earlier this week and it’s hard to disagree (although feel free to).

His team are perched on top of the Premier Division and have a six-point lead over second-placed Dundalk. Maguire is the league’s top scorer, having netted eight goals in as many games.

His good run of form has given rise to chatter that he might get a call-up to the Irish squad for their friendly against Uruguay this summer.
