Here's How Differently Beyoncé And Donald Trump Kicked Off Black History Month

Beyoncé’s surprise pregnancy announcement on February 1 sent the #Beyhive and the whole of the internet into a frenzy. The memes came fast and furious, and the epic Instagram announcement happened to coincide nicely with the start of Black History Month giving her followers, U.S. citizens, and people around the world a great reason to celebrate.

And then, there was Donald Trump. 

On Wednesday, President Trump attempted to celebrate black history month by doing what he does best—making it all about himself. During a Black History Month breakfast hosted at the White House Trump remarked:

The transcript is unnerving enough, but it was the placid, almost fawning admiration by the people around him that seemed like an open rejection of reality.

Then there was Bey, swooping in to remind us there was still hope by giving the world nugget of cuteness around her soon to be twin stars, which prompted all of us to get in formation.
