OGC Nice’s opening demands for Jean-Michaël Seri revealed

As expected, RMC have confirmed that Jean-Michaël Seri’s €40m private release clause agreement with Nice expired in July. The club now have the right to demand a larger fee, and will do so.

Nice are unhappy as it appears that Barcelona insisted on meeting today, the day of arguably the club’s most significant fixture, the Champions League qualifying second leg vs Napoli. The club are angry about Barça’s behaviour and will request one of the Catalan club’s players to go the other way as part of the deal.

Opening negotiations from the French club include €40million as the base fee, another €8m – €12m in instalments, and a Barcelona player in return.
